A story of passion and growth
Our story is rooted in the heart of the Italian precision industry, an area rich in technology and passion that has driven us to prioritize quality, research and development, and the satisfaction of every customer's needs.
We have been operating for over 50 years in the aluminium alloy light casting sector in green sand and sand-resin, and we are specialized in technologically complex processing that includes specific geometries, large components, and prototyping.
Continuous investments, combined with the trust of our customers, have allowed us to grow more and more and to go from a craft to an industrial reality. Today Fonderia Persicetana employs more than 22 people, has 5 melting furnaces with a capacity of 3,000 kg, and 3 production plants, for a total of 2,500 square meters of covered area.
400
Tons of molten aluminium per year
Since 1965
...we write a page of our history every day.
1965
The company "Fonderia Persicetana Srl" is born.
It is 1965 and Antonio Bertocchi, an experienced foundryman and head of the foundry for many years, decides to create his own company, opening what is now our foundry.
1978
First green sand molding plant
To increase production and ensure a high and constant level of quality in the castings, the first green sand molding plant is installed. The first step in a growth that will continue in the following years.
1979
Development of internal core shop
Requests increase and the foundry specializes in creating increasingly complex components, which require the use of different cores. The decision to create an internal core shop within the company allows us to improve customer service and increase production capacity.
1980
Resin-sand molding plant
Investments continue and, alongside the green sand line, we introduce resin-sand molding. In the years it will become a fundamental part of production, far surpassing green sand in terms of components produced.
1984
First large casting: over 500 kg
Aluminium does not slow down its race and designers are pushing higher and higher, thinking of larger and more complex castings. We accept this challenge by creating our first large casting: a base of over 500 kg in weight.
1992
First foreign customer
In 1992, we open the doors to foreign markets. With a bit of luck and some good references, we make our way into Europe, today a consolidated market and a source of great opportunities.
2000
Purchase of a second production facility
Space is no longer enough, so the foundry expands by purchasing the adjacent building where some departments are moved and enlarged, increasing the production area by 1,300 square meters.
2010
ISO 9001 certification
Growth does not stop and, from a craft reality, the foundry begins to become a small industry. From here comes the need and the decision to structure ourselves and acquire the ISO 9001 quality certification.
2014
Acquisition of radiographic machine and qualification for liquid penetrant and radiographic testing.
To improve our technical quality and guarantee high-level standards, in 2014 we acquire a digital radiographic machine. We also acquire the qualification to perform accurate radiographic and liquid penetrant testing, which allows us to detect any defects or discontinuities in the castings.
2017
Sand regeneration plant
To improve performance, reduce environmental impact and promote circular economy processes, we install a larger and fully automated sand regeneration system, which allows us to recycle up to 95% of the used material.
2022
Photovoltaic plant
Our commitment to environmental issues continues and we equip ourselves with a photovoltaic plant, capable of reducing our energy impact and CO2 emissions.
